CFS  Children and Dogs POLICY

At CrossFit Santry, we prioritize the safety, well-being, and optimal training environment for all our members. To maintain these standards and ensure the smooth functioning of our box, we have established the following policy regarding the presence of children and dogs at the gym:

Children Policy

Supervision: Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times while on the premises of CrossFit Santry. This ensures the safety of the children and prevents any disruption to other members' workouts.

Designated Areas: While we welcome families to our gym, we request that children remain in the warm-up area only so that they do not interfere with ongoing classes or training sessions. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring their children stay within these designated areas.

Safety Equipment: If children are present in the gym, they must be kept a safe distance away from any moving equipment or heavy weights to avoid accidents or injuries.

Behavior Expectations: Children are expected to behave appropriately and respectfully towards other members, coaches, and gym equipment. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in the child and their accompanying adult being asked to leave the premises.

Classes and Programs: CrossFit Santry may offer specific classes or programs tailored for children under certain circumstances. Details regarding such classes will be communicated separately, and participation will be subject to availability and adherence to the gym's policies.

Dog POLICY

Leash Requirement: Dogs brought onto the gym premises must be kept on a leash at all times to ensure the safety of all members and visitors.

Behavior Expectations: Owners are responsible for ensuring their dogs are well-behaved, non-aggressive, and under control at all times. Any disruptive or aggressive behavior from a dog may result in the owner and their pet being asked to leave the gym.

Cleanliness: Owners must clean up after their dogs both inside the gym and in the surrounding outdoor areas.

Allergies and Sensitivities: Some members and staff may have allergies or sensitivities to animals. Owners should be mindful of this and take necessary precautions to minimize any potential issues.

Limitations: While we understand the importance of including pets in daily activities, the presence of dogs at CrossFit Santry is subject to limitations based on space availability and consideration for other members' comfort and safety.

Enforcement

Failure to comply with the policies outlined above may result in disciplinary action, up to and including suspension or revocation of membership privileges.

Conclusion

CrossFit Santry appreciates the cooperation of all members and visitors in adhering to these policies regarding the presence of children and dogs at the gym. It should be noted that children and dogs are not insured under our group fitness class insurance and that their presence at our facility while welcome is completely at their parents and owners risk. By working together, we can maintain a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment for everyone to pursue their fitness goals.
